Cartier is a French brand designing, producing and selling jewellery and watches since 1847, when it was founded in Paris by Louis-François Cartier. Like many other such labels, Cartier started as a family business as it is now owned by Compagnie Financière Richemont SA. Cartier was once described as the jeweler to the kings and the king of jewelers.
